Choosing a carpet cleaner that best for you

Carpets need to be cleaned at least one a week and more often if you live in the city. By frequently cleaning and vacuuming your carpet you can preserve and use it for many years. With frequent cleaning and vacuuming you clean off the grind and the sand that builds up, and which can eventually damage the carpet. You can use a crevice tool from time to time to clean the hard to reach areas that are carpeted.

Wall to wall carpets also need to be cleaned on a regular basis as well. This is however not an easy task and could be too tedious for you to do-it-yourself. A good Castle Hill Carpet Cleaning, would be able to do the job for you at a reasonable cost if you are in New South Wales. However if you insist on cleaning your own carpeting then you should divide your wall into blocks and start by cleaning one entire block at a time, before moving onto the next.

Carpet cleaning cannot be rushed, especially if you are vacuuming your carpet. Carpets should be vacuum cleaned section by section and very methodically, as the dust that is stuck on the carpet or embedded, needs to get cleaned out and picked up by the suction of the vacuum, therefore the carpet needs to be vacuumed over a few times before the dust  eventually comes off.

You should concentrate on areas where people are likely to use very often, like the carpeting on the stairs, where people sit and also places where people move their feet regularly. These areas can be vacuumed in a crisscross pattern and this should be done several times so that the vacuum can pick up the dirt and the embedded dust particles.

A soil retardant should be used for a new carpet or a recently cleaned carpet. This can be done easily as these DIY carpet cleaning products are easy to use; all you should do is read the instructions carefully and follow them accurately.

If you have bad odor with your carpet a simple easy fix is to use baking soda in the bag of your vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning carpet stains and spills can be a breeze as it should be expected with a carpet or a rug, but fighting foul smelling carpets is another matter.
