A way to create awareness for your company is coming up with promotional products. More popularly known as swags, these are merchandising items bearing your company’s logo. These are used in marketing programs and are given away to promote a brand, a company, a corporate image or an event. Swags have the company’s logo and sometimes their slogan as well and they are distributed at conferences, trade shows or used in marketing campaigns.

How do you determine the right promotional product for your company? The first thing to consider is the utility of the item. You want to give out promotional products that people will be using a lot. The more popular items include pens, coffee mugs, umbrellas, pouches, tote bags to name a few.

These days big companies come up with some really cool items to give to their salespeople or other employees during conferences, or to their clients at trade shows. These items include anything from alarm clocks to laptop computers. For marketing campaigns you should go for items that will attract attention, therefore creating awareness for your company or brand.

Most companies usually give out their swags during Christmas time. About a couple of months before the holidays, you should start planning your giveaways. You can look for various suppliers and ask for a presentation of the merchandising items they can make for you. You should be able to come up with the design that you want to see on the merchandising items. Make sure you finalize your order with enough lead time to be able to give out your items during the holidays.
