The trick to strong and beautiful homes!

Rock retaining walls Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a famous city located in the state of Queensland, which is well known for its sunny, tropical climate; surfing beaches; theme parks; nightlife and its high-rise sky line; and it is a famous tourist destination. It is just 80km south of the state’s capital Brisbane and the city spans an area of roughly 400km2. This has resulted in the city being cosily placed away from the hustle and bustle of the city while being close enough to the city for people to travel to and from the city for business and other matters. The city sits on the foot of the Great Dividing Range and is bordered on the west by this mountain range. Most of the land of this city was originally wetlands. However, these swamps were converted into a system of man-made waterways and islands, which now house a large number of up-market housing schemes. The Gold Coast has slightly cool winters and hot, humid summers; occasionally heavy rains which last for days are seen during summer. This leads to residents of this area succumbing to the “summer blues”. According to the Koppen Climate Classification this is a ‘humid subtropical climate’. The road network in and around the Gold Coast is in very good condition and the city is easily accessible by both road and rail. The beauty, convenience and comfortability of the Gold Coast has resulted in it being a major hub for both domestic settlements and new building developments. The topography and geological character of the Gold Coast, greatly influences the construction field. Due to this most constructions require land-fills. Retaining walls give strength and stability to buildings while safeguarding its aesthetic value. They are used to hold back soil and other materials to prevent the land fill or land form from eroding and getting washed away. Rock retaining walls Gold Coast are a common sight in this area. Although many materials such as sandstone, timber, concrete and stone can be used to build retaining walls, rock is one of the most common materials used. Rock retaining walls are the strongest type of retention walls. And they add a rustic charm to any construction. Using rock types such as granite, bush rock, sandstone will increase the strength and beauty of your home...
