The Australian City with the Most Livable Climate in the Country

The state of New South Wales in particular is home to towns and cities that leave many in awe due to their exotic beauty and jaw-dropping spectacles. One of those cities is Coffs Harbour. This town has been the subject of many stories, real and unreal, spun by people from within and outside the area.

It is a coastal city situated on the northern side of the state and it is 540 kilometres from Sydney. The population in the region is at 70,000 people which can easily swell during the peak seasons. The annual rainfall reaches 65.9 inches. These factors combine to ensure that the region is nicely warm with subtropical humid conditions that are favourable for many activities.
To be designated as the area which is most livable in all of Australia, some factors were looked into; weather, amenities, affordability of food items and the perfect position of the town between virgin beaches and the backdrop of a high mountain. To sustain their economy, the residents engage in farming bananas and tourism. A bit of manufacturing takes place as well in this city that has a private hospital, several radio stations and a Southern Cross University campus.

To serve the visitors and locals there are bus services and Country Link trains. Regular flights are available to Brisbane, Sydney and Port Macquarie. The road network is excellent and user-friendly throughout Coffs Harbour. This region is broken up into smaller suburb areas that include Boambee, Korora, Red Hill and the city centre. The city’s position along the Pacific Highway makes it a favourite destination for many. It also happens to be at the centre of the north and mid coast.

The town was in the 1900s used an important timber production area and these products were transported to other areas via ships because the railway line was not open then. There are numerous attractions in this city.Bellinger River National Park tops that list followed by the Big Banana. For the lovers of diving there is an excellent place for that. There is also Solitary Islands Marine Park, a good place for those who love peeking into underwater ecosystems. This region is also home to numerous other world acclaimed national parks that have diverse species of flora and fauna.

The areas around Coffs Harbour are dominated by holiday resorts and apartments as well. It is also a green region as it is covered by forests and banana plantations. As a holiday town, tourists have a myriad of choices as to where they can stay. Coffs Harbour motels are especially adored by visitors who are on transit to other cities.
