Amazing Attractions Awaiting Visitors in Yamba

If there is one town in Australia that has attractions that can be said to be in a class of their own, then it must be Yamba. Sitting strategically on the mouth of Clarence River and about 671 kilometres north east of Sydney, this town is one major tourist hub due to its attractions-rich nature. It has earned its rightful place among the power houses of New South Wales, Australia, and the judging by the visitors it receives annually, Yamba is going places.

The premier attraction is the Angourie Beach. This beach was in 2007 acknowledged as a National Surfing Reserve and is makes the Australia nationals, especially the surfing fanatics, hold it as a sacred place. It is actually the second site in the country to get that recognition for its role in recreational surfing. The beach’s road to fame began in the 1960s when surfing was starting to be taken up by the locals. It is noted for its pristine nature partly because it borders a national park. Visitors never get enough of Angourie Beach for it provides them with the ideal location to lie on the sand, learn how to surf and build sand castles.

There other holes nearby and all these are separated from the ocean by a big rock shelf which is also itself an interesting place to explore. Along the sides of these pools are ideal locations for picnics.

Another major attraction is Pippi Beach. It is the location renowned for the annual ‘Pippi Beach Surf Classic’, a surfing competition that creates waves among the sport’s enthusiasts. This beach is the ideal location for sun, sand and the Pacific Ocean waves. The wide beachside is a spectacle of sorts judging by the huge number of guests that can be there at one time during the tourist peak season. For the visitor who desires a side activity, he can fish off the rock shelf located at the northern end of the beach. It is the one location in Yamba that is perfect for family activities as there are some shaded picnic tables, enough parking and clean toilets.

Riverside Horse Ranch in Yamba is another key attraction has a magnetic effect on visitors. The ranch specialises in horse rides through trails and offering riding lessons. On offer are excellently trained horses that gel well with new riders. They offer lessons for all; from experienced riders to beginners. To make training as smooth as possible, the ranch has a sand arena that overlooks the river and whose main work is to help train beginners.
